This Privacy Policy explains how Wellness Oracle ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use our platform. By using Wellness Oracle, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Wellness Oracle, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: Name, email address, and Google profile data (when signing in via Google OAuth)
  • Usage data: Chat history, queries sent to the AI, session metadata, and token usage counts
  • Device data: Browser type, device type, IP address, and approximate location (country/region)
  • Uploaded files: Images, PDFs, and documents you submit for AI analysis — these are stored on our Supabase server (see Image & Data Storage section below for full details)
  • Voice data: Audio recordings captured during voice chat sessions — processed transiently for speech-to-text and not stored
  • Payment information: Plan type and Razorpay payment ID (we do not store card or UPI details — payments are processed by Razorpay)
  • Memory data: Health topics and preferences you've discussed, stored to personalise future responses

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To improve AI response quality and platform reliability
  • To track usage against your plan limits (free/basic/pro)
  • To send account-related communications (plan confirmations, important updates)
  • To maintain platform security and prevent abuse
  • To comply with legal obligations

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted infrastructure, with encryption at rest (AES-256) and encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+). We apply industry-standard security practices including row-level security (RLS) policies so each user can only access their own data.

Chat history is stored both in your browser's local storage and synced to our Supabase servers when you are signed in. Uploaded images and files are stored in Supabase Storage — see the "Image & Data Storage" section for complete details.

4. Third-Party AI Providers

To generate AI responses, your queries and uploaded content are sent to the following third-party providers. Each provider has their own privacy policy and data handling practices:

5. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data permanently from within the app
  • Portability: Request an export of your chat history and data
  • Objection: Object to specific processing of your data

6. Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of account deletion
  • Chat history: Retained for 12 months on servers; you can delete it anytime from within the app
  • Uploaded images & files: Stored on Supabase Storage; deleted when you delete the associated message or your account
  • Voice audio: Processed in real-time and not stored — only the transcribed text is retained
  • Token/usage records: Retained for 30 days rolling window for plan enforcement

7. Children's Privacy

Wellness Oracle is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

By accessing or using Wellness Oracle, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using the service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using our service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are accessing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Service Description

Wellness Oracle provides an AI-powered health and wellness information platform. The service includes text chat, voice chat, image/document analysis, and PDF report generation. The service is for general informational purposes only and is not a medical service.

3. Plans & Billing

Wellness Oracle offers the following plans:

  • Free Plan: Limited daily messages, English-only voice, no Hindi TTS
  • Basic Plan: Increased limits, English-only voice
  • Pro Plan: Highest limits, Hindi & multilingual voice, priority features

Paid plans are billed on a 30-day cycle from the date of purchase. Payments are processed securely via Razorpay. Plan limits reset every 30 days from your purchase date.

4. Acceptable Use

You may use Wellness Oracle for personal, non-commercial health information purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or reproduce the service or its AI prompts
  • Use the service to generate harmful, misleading, or illegal content
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Upload content that violates any applicable law or third-party rights
  • Upload content that is offensive, illegal, or contains malware
  • Use the service in place of professional medical consultation for serious or emergency conditions
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or plan restrictions
  • Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the service

5. Uploaded Content

By uploading images, PDFs, or other files to Wellness Oracle, you:

  • Confirm you have the right to upload and share that content
  • Grant Wellness Oracle a limited licence to process the content for the purpose of generating AI responses
  • Acknowledge that uploaded content is stored on Supabase servers (see Image & Data Storage section)
  • Accept that uploaded content may be transmitted to third-party AI providers (Anthropic, Google) for analysis

Do not upload content containing sensitive personal identifiers of others (such as national ID numbers, bank details, or another person's medical records) without their explicit consent.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, design, AI prompts, and technology of Wellness Oracle are the property of its founders and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without prior written consent from Wellness Oracle.

You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading, you grant us only the limited licence described in Section 5 above.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Wellness Oracle and its founders shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the service
  • Reliance on AI-generated information provided by the service
  • Unauthorised access to your account or data
  • Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated content

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied.

8. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice. We may also change plan pricing with reasonable advance notice to registered users.

9. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notice.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India. We encourage resolving disputes informally first by contacting us at wellnessoracle.ai@gmail.com.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a security risk — at our sole discretion, without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time from within the app.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

🖼️ Image & Data Storage Policy

⚠️ Important Notice: Images and files you upload to Wellness Oracle are stored on our Supabase server, not just processed temporarily. Please read this section carefully before uploading any sensitive documents.

What Gets Stored

When you upload any file through Wellness Oracle — including medical reports, lab results, prescriptions, body/skin images, food photos, or any other image or document — the following occurs:

  • The file is uploaded and stored in Supabase Storage (a secure cloud storage service)
  • The file is assigned a unique storage path linked to your user account
  • The file contents (as base64 data) are sent to third-party AI vision providers (Anthropic Claude or Google Gemini) for analysis
  • The AI's analysis result is stored in your chat history in our Supabase database

Access Control: Files are private to your account via row-level security (RLS)

Why We Store Uploaded Files

Files are stored to:

  • Allow you to reference past uploaded documents in your chat history
  • Enable consistent conversation context when you revisit previous sessions
  • Provide a record of what was analysed for your reference

Who Can Access Your Uploaded Files

Your uploaded files are private. Access is restricted as follows:

  • You: Full access to your own files via your authenticated account
  • Wellness Oracle systems: Access limited to AI processing and displaying files within your own session
  • AI providers (Anthropic, Google Gemini): Receive file data for analysis only — they do not store your files permanently (subject to their respective privacy policies)
  • Other users: No access — files are protected by row-level security
  • Wellness Oracle staff: May access files only in exceptional circumstances (e.g., legal compliance, security incident) — never for commercial purposes

Sensitive Data Warning

⚠️ Please exercise caution when uploading: Medical images, prescriptions, and lab reports may contain sensitive health information. While we secure your data, you should not upload images containing other people's identifying information (name, national ID, address) without their consent. Do not upload images containing financial account numbers, passwords, or government ID documents.

How Long Are Files Retained

  • Files are retained as long as your account is active and you have not deleted the associated chat or message
  • When you delete a chat session containing an uploaded file, the file is also marked for deletion
  • When you delete your account, all your stored files are permanently deleted within 30 days
  • You may request early deletion of specific uploaded files by contacting wellnessoracle.ai@gmail.com

Voice & Audio Data

Audio recorded during voice chat sessions is not stored. It is:

  • Transmitted in real-time to Groq's Whisper API for transcription
  • Immediately discarded after the text transcript is returned
  • Only the transcribed text is stored as part of your chat history

Text & Chat Data

Your text messages and AI responses are stored in our Supabase database as part of your chat history. This includes:

  • Messages you send to the AI
  • Responses generated by the AI
  • Session timestamps and metadata
  • Your AI memory (health topics and preferences used for personalisation)

🔐 Your Control: You can delete your chat history and uploaded files at any time from within the Wellness Oracle app. Account deletion permanently removes all your data. For assistance, contact wellnessoracle.ai@gmail.com.

Wellness Oracle is an AI-powered informational tool. It is not a licensed healthcare provider, hospital, clinic, or medical professional. The AI responses are generated by a large language model and may not be complete, accurate, or applicable to your specific medical situation or history.

Emergencies

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call emergency services immediately (112 in India, 911 in the USA, 999 in the UK) or go to your nearest hospital emergency department. Do not rely on Wellness Oracle in emergency situations.

Prescription & Medicine Reading

Wellness Oracle can attempt to read and interpret handwritten prescriptions using AI vision technology. However:

  • Medicine name recognition may be inaccurate, especially for handwritten text
  • Dosage, frequency, and duration may be misread
  • Always verify every medicine name and dosage with your pharmacist or doctor before taking any medication
  • A wrong medicine or dose can be life-threatening

Report Analysis Limitation

When you upload medical reports, lab results, or prescriptions, the AI provides a general explanation based on the extracted text and image analysis. This is not a clinical interpretation. Values and findings should always be reviewed by your doctor in the context of your complete medical history, symptoms, and clinical examination.

No Doctor-Patient Relationship

Use of Wellness Oracle does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, or any other professional relationship. Information exchanged on this platform does not constitute professional medical, psychological, or clinical advice of any kind.

Accuracy of Information

While we strive for accuracy, medical knowledge evolves rapidly. Information provided may not reflect the most recent research, clinical guidelines, or drug approvals. Always verify important health information with a licensed medical professional.

Mental Health

Wellness Oracle uses large language models (LLMs) to generate responses. AI-generated content can sometimes be:

  • Incorrect or inaccurate ("hallucinations" — AI confidently stating false information)
  • Outdated relative to the latest medical research or drug approvals
  • Not tailored to your specific health history, genetics, or circumstances
  • Misinterpreted from uploaded document text or images
  • Different across sessions even for the same question

No Guarantee of Accuracy

We make no warranty, express or implied, about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or usefulness of any AI-generated content. You should independently verify any important health information with qualified professionals before acting on it.

Data Processing & AI Providers

Your queries and uploaded content are sent to third-party AI inference providers (Groq, Anthropic, Google) to generate responses. These providers process your data under their own privacy policies. We route all AI calls through our secure Supabase Edge Function proxy — API keys are never exposed to your browser.

Voice Mode Limitations

Voice mode transcribes your speech using Whisper AI. Transcription may be inaccurate due to background noise, accents, or audio quality. Medical terms, drug names, and numbers may be misheard. Always review the transcribed text for accuracy before relying on the AI's voice response.

Improvement & Feedback

The AI may make mistakes. If you receive a response that seems incorrect, harmful, or inappropriate, please do not act on it and contact us at wellnessoracle.ai@gmail.com. Your feedback helps us improve the service.

Performance & Analytics

We do not currently use third-party analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics). Aggregated, anonymised usage statistics may be collected through our Supabase hosting provider.

No Advertising Cookies

We do not use advertising, tracking, or marketing cookies. No data is shared with advertising networks. Wellness Oracle does not display advertisements.

Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. However, blocking essential cookies may impair functionality such as staying signed in and remembering your preferences. You can clear all Wellness Oracle data by:

  • Using your browser's "Clear site data" or "Clear browsing data" option
  • Deleting your account within the app (removes all server-side data too)

Google OAuth

When you sign in with Google, Google may set its own cookies as part of the OAuth authentication flow. These are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We only receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.

💳 Refund & Cancellation Policy

Plan Subscriptions

Wellness Oracle offers one-time 30-day plan purchases (Basic and Pro). Plans are not auto-renewing subscriptions — each purchase covers a single 30-day period.

Refund Eligibility

We offer refunds in the following circumstances:

  • Technical failure: If the service was completely unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours during your plan period
  • Duplicate payment: If you were charged more than once for the same plan purchase
  • 7-day refund window: If you request a refund within 7 days of purchase and have used fewer than 20% of your plan's message allowance

Non-Refundable Situations

  • Refund requests made more than 7 days after purchase
  • Accounts suspended for violating our Terms & Conditions
  • Change of mind after significant usage of the plan
  • Dissatisfaction with AI response quality (AI limitations are disclosed before purchase)

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email wellnessoracle.ai@gmail.com with:

  • Your registered email address
  • Your Razorpay payment ID (found in your payment confirmation email)
  • Reason for refund request

We will respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 7–10 business days via Razorpay.

Plan Expiry

Plans expire exactly 30 days from the date of purchase. Unused message credits or features do not carry over. No partial refunds are provided for unused days.
